Calmness

Why We Need to Connect to Nature
Reconnecting nature can help improve your mood lower stress and anxiety improve cognition and memory. When we take the time to walk in nature our worries dissipate, and a calmness washes over us. As we walk, just noticing all the beautiful details of the forest surrounding us helps to keep us in the present moment, which is the most peaceful place to be.
Did you know when a tree is cut down the forest, the surrounding trees reach out to the victim with their root tips and send lifesaving sustenance - water, sugar, and other nutrients via the a network of fungal threads or hyphae. This continuous source of food from neighbouring trees can keep the stump alive for decades and even centuries, and they don't only do it only for their own kind they do it for the trees of other species. There is much going on under our feet that we don't even realize.

Kimberly Knew What She wanted and Inspires Us To Do What We Love!
In her own words…
Hello! My name is Kimberly Stapleton, 49 years old. I found my passion for fitness at the young age of 17 when I joined an Aerobics class. I was enjoying the classes so much, that I hadn't realized I had lost over 25lbs. When I later attended my college studies, I took an additional course certifying myself as a Group Fitness Instructor. At that time I became an Instructor of Aerobics, Step Aerobics, Weight Training classes for beginners and Aqua-fit.
All this and working full time as a first responder! If you would like to read the full article, click here
